Honey & Soy Sausage & Green Beans

This is a fantastic easy salad or side dish for any occasion. Healthy too!

  • 6 Hellers Honey & Soy Sausages cut in half lengthways
  • 2 tbsp soy sauce & 1 tbsp honey combined
  • Cooking oil
  • 5cm piece ginger peeled and finely chopped
  • 1kg green beans
  • 1/4 cup chicken stock or vege stock
  • 2 spring onions finely sliced
  • 1 cup mung beans

To serve: chili flakes and toasted sesame seeds


  1. Heat 1 tbsp of oil over medium heat in a fry pan and add the cut sausages. Cook for 5 mins until they begin to brown then toss them through the soy sauce & honey mixture stirring continuously for 1 min. Remove from the pan onto a side plate and wipe out the pan with a paper towel
  2. Reheat the fry pan with 1 tbsp oil over medium heat. Add the ginger and fry for 2 mins then add the green beans and stock and toss together. If you have a lid cover it for 2-3 mins until the beans are just tender - you want a slight bite left in them
  3. Toss through the spring onions and mung beans. Place onto a large serving dish
  4. To serve: sprinkle with toasted sesame seeds and chili flakes
